condensing and expanding logarithms is my biggest problem. Can any one assist me understand it? I am a novice at it. What book or other resource do you suggest for beginning this subject?

You really shouldn’t have wasted money on a private tutor . Had you posted this message before hiring a tutor , you could have saved yourself loads of money! Anyway, now you can’t change it. In order to make sure that you do well in your exams I would recommend trying Algebrator. It’s a user-friendly software. It can solve the toughest problems for you, and what’s even cooler is the fact that it can even explain how it did so! At one point in time when even I was having difficulty understanding function composition, parallel lines and linear algebra. But thanks to Algebrator, everything’s good now.

Hello, just a year ago, I was stuck in a similar situation. I had even considered the option of dropping math and selecting some other subject. A colleague of mine told me to give one last chance and gave me a copy of Algebrator. I was at comfort with it within an hour. My grades have really improved within the last year .

I remember having often faced problems with angle suplements, difference of squares and hyperbolas. A truly great piece of algebra program is Algebrator software. By simply typing in a problem from workbook a step by step solution would appear by a click on Solve. I have used it through many algebra classes – Intermediate algebra, Intermediate algebra and College Algebra. I greatly recommend the program.
