Hi, I am a freshman in high school and I am having trouble with my homework. One of my problems is dealing with how do you solve an equation by subsitution; can anyone help me understand what it is all about? I need to complete this asap. Thanks for helping.

I remember having difficulties with linear inequalities, absolute values and roots. Algebrator is a really great piece of math software. I have used it through several algebra classes - Remedial Algebra, Remedial Algebra and Algebra 1. I would simply type in the problem from a workbook and by clicking on Solve, step by step solution would appear. The program is highly recommended.
