combining like terms is my biggest problem. Can any one help me understand it? I am a beginner at it. What book or other resource do you suggest for beginning this subject?

I find these typical problems on almost every forum I visit. Please don’t misunderstand me. It’s just as we enter college, things change in a flash. Studies become complex all of a sudden. As a result, students encounter problems in doing their homework. combining like terms in itself is a quite challenging subject. There is a program named as Algebrator which can assist you in this situation.

Algebrator is the program that I have used through several math classes - Algebra 2, Remedial Algebra and Remedial Algebra. It is a truly a great piece of algebra software. I remember of going through difficulties with evaluating formulas, gcf and fractional exponents. I would simply type in a problem from the workbook , click on Solve – and step by step solution to my algebra homework. I highly recommend the program.
