I am going to college now. As math has always been my weakness, I purchased the course material in advance. I am plan on learning a handful of topics before the classes begin . Any kind of tools would be highly appreciated that could assist me to start studying what is a perfect square myself.

I do understand what your situation is , but if you could explain in greater detail the areas in which you are facing difficulty , then I might be in a better position to help you out . Anyhow I have some advice for you, try Algebrator. It can solve a wide range of questions, and it can do so within minutes. And that’s not it , it also gives a detailed step-by-step description of how it arrived at a particular solution . That way you don’t just solve your problem but also get to understand how to go about solving it. I found this program to be particularly useful for solving questions on what is a perfect square. But that’s just my experience, I’m sure it’ll be good for other topics as well.

You can download this program from https://mymathtutors.com/math-065-practice-test-4.html. There are some demos available to see if it is really what you are looking for and if you find it useful, you can get a licensed version for a nominal amount.

I remember having difficulties with syntehtic division, conversion of units and adding functions. Algebrator is a really great piece of algebra software. I have used it through several algebra classes - Algebra 1, Algebra 1 and Intermediate algebra. I would simply type in the problem from a workbook and by clicking on Solve, step by step solution would appear. The program is highly recommended.
