Hi! We just started discussing a new chapter in math about and dividing rational expressions and I did well for most homeworks we got but the latest one my professor gave complicated so I'd appreciate if somebody would help me to understand it! It’s a problem solving assignment my math professor gave out this day and it’s due next week and I tried doing it but still can’t get it right. I just can’t finish it easily unlike the other homeworks . I had no trouble answering my past assignments but this particular homework with specific topic of x-intercept gives me difficulty just figuring out how to begin. I’m desperately in need of help. I’ll really appreciate if somebody help me in discussing the steps and how to answer it in a systematic and clear way.

I could help if you can be more specific and provide details about and dividing rational expressions. A good software would be ideal rather than a costly algebra tutor. After trying a number of software I found the Algebrator to be the best I have so far come across. It solves any algebra problem from your book . It also shows all the steps (of the solution). You can just reproduce as your homework assignment. However, you should use it to learn algebra, and simply not use it to copy answers.

Yeah, I think so too . Algebrator explains everything in such great detail that even a amateur can learn the tricks of the trade, and crack some of the most difficult mathematical problems. It elaborates on each and every intermediate step that it took to reach a certain solution with such finesse that you’ll learn a lot from it.

I remember having often faced difficulties with graphing, graphing lines and percentages. A really great piece of algebra program is Algebrator software. By simply typing in a problem from workbook a step by step solution would appear by a click on Solve. I have used it through many math classes – Algebra 1, Remedial Algebra and Remedial Algebra. I greatly recommend the program.
